Ways to Match your Clothes with your Glasses
We’ve all had our trouble buying eyeglasses, it’s not as easy as it seems! Where can I get a good deal? What shape suits my face best? Will I like this style in two years’ time? And what color will integrate in my wardrobe easily? Fortunately, there are answers for everything. Today we’re talking eyeglasses colors, and how to match them with your clothes. Depending on what frames you picked, there are four ways you can try right away:

1. Exact match. If you’ve picked a color you like to wear often for your frames, then you’re in luck! You can match it by color with your clothes! It’s as easy as 1-2-3: your pink glasses go with a pink top, your black glasses go with a black blazer and so on. Our choices: the Ralph Lauren rectangular glasses and the matching Jown Lewis top - both are delicate and romantic.

2. Complementary. If you’re looking for a bit of contrast, then go with complementary colors! There are three basic pairs: red and green, blue and orange, yellow and purple. For example, we picked these red Gucci eyeglasses, and teamed them with a pair of green Modcloth boots. The look is edgy, yet fun to wear.

3. Same pattern. Many eyeglasses feature patterns these days: animal print is especially popular! But we’ve also seen stripes, polka dots, chevron or even lace on these Dolce&Gabbana frames. Our tip is to match them with even more of that particular print, like we matched these glasses with a J. Crew lace skirt.

4. Color palette. For a subtle effect, keep the same color palette on your glasses and on your outfit! A pair of brown Tom Ford glasses fits into the wider range of earth tones (brown, beige, tan, khaki, green, olive etc.). Wear them with a tan Barneys leather jacket and you’ll look like a million bucks!
The good news is you can try any of these versions with a single pair of glasses. This way, you get variety in your style, and never get bored. Remember that fashion is all about having fun!
